It has been an awesome start to the season both in Musandam Northern Oman and Hallaniyat Islands Southern Oman. We have had plenty of big GTs, AJs and lost our fair share as well. But makes for good fishing stories. Over the last month I have been back and forward between our operations and shop in Oman and UAE with a sneaky Socotra exploratory trip thrown in between. But we have had our team running flat out down on the islands with Ashraf and his son Kareem running the lodges and then Capt Damon from our Musandam Lodge, Capt Saud and Capt Mohammed running our boats. We have a big team of about 12 guys running our operation to ensure it runs smoothly in a harsh and remote environment. We have had a wide range of clients from US, UK, Egypt, RSA, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oz and a few more. So it has been great to learn a few new techniques and meet new friends.
But Damon has been busy with the camera on these trips and has some great pictures of fish caught in the last month. I have been writing a few long reports trying to get a feeling of Oman and what we experience but this time the pictures can speak for themselves.

We have also been working on a few new projects and from the end of this month our brand new lodge on the mainland in Shuwaymiyah will be ready and open for bookings, we are also waiting for the delivery of our new 27ft center console which will be at the mainland lodge to use for inshore and flyfishing. The new mainland lodge will be across the road from the beach and you will be able to take a short walk and start fishing. We have been working to get this option set up so we can offer both lodges on the mainland and out on the islands and can cater for all types of fisherman from popping to flyfishing to shore fishing. We also now have a lodge set up in Salalah for groups to stay if they arrive early or late or want to relax and enjoy the Arabian Hospitality after a trip. We have been working to have a network of lodges to offer a wide range of services and also to make it easier for clients to relax and enjoy Oman.
