Hello,

Here are some pictures of our trip to Nosy Mitsio last mai.
We catched around 150 fish and 26 species. Main technic was jigging.

We used jigs from Sevenseas Hooker 7 - Orion jigs - River2sea sea rock - Hot,s drift tuna.
For poppers we used Halco roosterpopper - Heru Cubera - Heru Skipjack.

Best regards,

Arnout

Arnout,

I will move this report to the jigging section.

What depths and structure were you typically jigging?

Hello luke,

We fished between 40 to 60 meter. Mostly in the morning under schools of bonito,s for groupers and differend kind of trevally,s hunting the bonito,s

In water between 80 and 135 meter we fished on the drop off. For everything that bites.
For example gt,s - greenjobfish - rose jobfish - and several deepwater snappers.
We also fished allways with a dead bonito on one rod for groupers - gt- sharks.

Brandon,

No the turtle was hooked in the shield.

Unfortunatly the big ones broke or bite the leader. We used 130lbs fisherman leaders.
The most time we lost jigs by biting spanish mackerali think.

But for us it was a very good trip.

If somebody wands more info you could have a look on: www.tropicalfishingmadagaskar.com

Bet regards,

Arnout.
