Aaron,
That is a big call, would be interesting to see some more of these rods in action
Brock, it is a big call, though I was suprised too, when I cast the various Seven Seas popping rods against the Wild Violence, SP UHL and Coral Viper.
I reckon for an 'everyday' rod, the Big Pop BBP76 (max cast weight 170gm max leader 170lb) is awesome!
It slings a 180 Kong a looooong way.
This would take over the Coral Viper in a pinch if it were as good at stick baits as it is for poppers.
I have to get the full range back in to verify though there was a rod in the range that worked big poppers easliy yet had more lifting power than the SP78UHL.
The thing that really pricked my ears up was the Seven Seas ability to fire the bigger poppers out with nowhere near the tendon snap as required with the UHL, particularly with lures at its mid to lower casting end.
I think it was the BBP77 Magnum?
When we get the full range of the Seven Seas Breakers series back in, I will confirm this for you.
Cheers
Aaron.
