Re: Nomad Sportfishing - Marion Reef 2008

okay - I have checked with Claire and there are two spaces left for this trip - May 17 - 23 in 2008. if anyone else is interested, please let me know.

Also, for anyone who can't wait that long, I am going to be going on a trip to Bugatti Reef with Nomad from 28/7 to 3/8. This is a new location for them and they decided to run a charter here this year after they tested it last year. This is very much a popping trip (not likely to be much jigging). Last year, they caught a lot of GTs and big reef fish like coral trout. Apparently, also a lot of mackeral around the edges of the reef. There are currently two places left for this charter.
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Apparently, the other three people who booked for the timeframe of May 17 - 23 next year have changed weeks so outside of the seven of us who are currently booked for this, there are now five places available. It promises to be a great week so please let me know if you're interested.

Guys - one spot left for this timeslot so if you've been thinking of it, it would pay to make up your mind fast!

The large majority who have booked in are members here so we should have a great time there next year.

We are doing the first week at Marion - the week leading up to the full moon.  Fully booked out though I'm afraid.   Should be a fantastic week, Can't wait to try out some of the new toys on the fish out there.

Cheers

that's great Rob - it promises to be an excellent week. The tide is great so we only need to pray for nice calm weather and we will have the option of chasing doggies as well. I want someone (as long as it is not me!) to get spooled on a 20000!

I also hope the weather is great to be able to chase doggies too, but not the spooled part :D

Should be a cracker of a week.

Cheers

I've been done on a number of occasions on different reels but on deep water jigging, twice on a 20000. I've seen it happen to someone popping too. I think it may have been a big yellowfin. Hold on tight!!   :D

I've actually gone full circle now on the connection to the spool. I'd rather lose the line than the outfit
