problems with loose ferrules

<< < (2/3) > >>

Brandon Khoo:
It does a bit in that it does significantly reduce the amount it moves around or slips out. It does depend on how loose the joint has become.

I am also not sure that wax really helps a loose ferrule get any tighter.

Sachin Chaudhry:
I use the Smith ferule wax. Very good for this problem.

Dave Hoo:
thanks for all the suggestions.

the intial 3-4cm of the ferrule is loose and only the last 4cm of the ferrule fits when I assemble the rod.

just wanted to be sure that this is ok as I do not want breakages at the ferrules (i had a couple for my jigging rods).

Will try coho when I am in SG for the wax.

Where can I get the Smith ferrule wax?
thanks

Stephen Callus:
Hi Dave you can get the Smith ferule wax from JDM tackle :D

Patrick Cooper:
