Stella 18000
Chris Webster:
Hey Ben. If the figures you uave quoted are correct, and im sure they are, then that reel would be fine.
Mark Harris:
I have jigged with a Saragosa 18000 and that is its optimum use, although it is not bad all-rounder as well. Ignore the 20 kg drag stuff of course :). I have brought up some reasonable fish with this reel Ben including 20 kg+ Dogtooth and GTs from the depths.
Ben Rivers:
I used to have a Saragosa 14000F, but sold it many moons ago - damit!
Ben Rivers:
Would an 8000 size Twinpower PG or a Biomaster PG be too small for jigging?
Twinpower has 25kg drag and Biomastee has 13kg.
Line Capacity is about 300m of 50lb Braid.
Mark Harris:
Twinpower 8000PG is a very nice jigging reel Ben and I would imagine most of the sales are for exactly that purpose.
You will not get 300 metres of PE5/50lb on it though. I have mine loaded with 300 metres of PE4, and use a spare Stella 10000 spool on it for PE5.
