Stella 8000 and matching rod

it depends on how much you want to spend on another rod. I personally would be looking to put the Stella onto my best rod which seems to be the 80TN

I would be looking at about $500 at the most for another rod. So the carpenters I was peeking at on Plat are a bit more.

They had some Tenryu tuna sticks at 8'6 and nice sounding performance stats, but I dont know anything about these rods in terms of actual quality and performance compared to say the dorado.

if you're willing to go a bit higher, that would take you into the HOTs and Zenaqs territory

Go all the way , get a Carpenter HL TN87 at around A$. 700 + freight , won't need to upgrade for a long time .
