Hi Brandon
Graham from New Zealand here.
Can only re-iterate Brandons comments re Bugatti.
I'm the big fella holding up a large GT with the help of Tim Baker.
Great location with our trip only scratching the surface.
Cerrtainly Nomad are the best operration I've ever been with and am already plotting how to get back there again.
Kudos for Brandon as well - he was very willing to share his knowledge and experience. Didn't realise he had the flu though - thought he was just like the rest of us - worn out by the fish.
Great bunch of people and the best crew on any boat I,ve been on.
Pleased to find this site - unfortunately we don't have Gt's in NZ and any trip is a major expedition.
In the words of Arnie - I'll be back !

Graham - great to have you here and welcome to the site. We have a number of Kiwis here and all they do is antagonise us Aussies about the All Blacks!!

Can I say that this was Graham's first GT trip and not only did he land the biggest fish but on his first trip, he's broken the magical 3 figure mark on the old scale. You made a lot of people very envious with that capture (me especially!).

Keep practicing on the normal one's mate and you will get it, so say the law of averages and a few thousand casts. ;)

Hi Brandon ,

Rod technology progresses and likewise lure design , so you like the prototype stickbait which soon will be available in production version .

Jon .

Got to try the Ulua yesterday Jon - like what i saw. No strikes though  :(

Well done mate, looks like an awesome trip!

What would you have prefered, a bit more variety or bulk GT's?

Jay, I am primarily a GT fisho so I want GTs, GTs and more GTs  :D
It's nice to get the odd other capture like a really big reef fish and I would love to be able to tangle with some doggies but my primary interest is GTs. We did get some Spaniards and many shark mackeral but like wahoo, they don't do much for me. They just don't fight much on GT gear.
If it swims; I want to catch it!
